What has the world come to?

I went to Borders Bookstore over the weekend only to be upset with what I found. As I came inside, the front shelves that held the best sellers and new books had four NEW John Lennon books displayed.
I couldn't believe it really. John Lennon is my idol. I fell in love with him when I was in fifth grade. You can't explain John Winston Ono Lennon's whole personality with text on a few hundred pieces of paper. I suppose you can to a certain limit, but you need to hear his voice, listen to his music, and read his writing.
It's hard to explain this in it's entirety. I don't really know how.
I wish people found other topics to write about then the biography of a man that is already well-known.
I do still love looking at the pictures in the new books, there is usually one I haven't seen yet. And also, I understand the 25th anniversary of his death is coming upon us December 8th, which makes the books slightly more appropriate...

What I'm trying to say is, "You can over use an idea until it isn't as special as it used to be."

Alright, I hope everyone had a nice Monday. Thank you for all the comments. I appreciate them more then ever right now.
Sorry I haven't updated in awhile, I'm working on getting better.

Haircuts

I got my hair cut last night! It's pretty short and I have some side bangs...I would show you guys a picture but I don't know where the cord is to go to our digital camera.
I also got a "Best Of Johnny Cash" album (Stuart inspired me). I love it, too. It's great.
I'm so excited because we have a three day week of school because we get off for Thanksgiving!
But I'm sad that "In The Attic" is having their last episode...
My mom and sister are going to see the musical "Wicked" today at 2. My mom's obsessed with witches (i'm not kidding).
Tomorrow my friend and I are hosting a "Night of A Thousand Dinners" for Adopt-A-Minefield. This is the charity we donate to. She and I have had a camp for kids for two years in a row now in order to raise money for it! We've made about 1400 dollars so far. The Night Of A Thousand Dinners usually takes place in early November, but we haven't had time until this Sunday to do it.
I got a really pretty handbag last night, it's dark purple velvet...it reminds me of Brian Jones.
I usually don't carry purses but I got this one because it was special to me (and I need to carry rubberbands around all the time now for my braces).
Ok, I will check in tomorrow night.
Have good weekends everyone!

owww!

Man, today I got rubber bands for my braces and they hurt so much! ahhh. ouch ouch ouch.
awhile ago my orthodontist said i would get the braces off by january but now he's saying hopefully before spring break?? thats so lame! i totally got my hopes up because i thought they'd be off in a month and a half! i REALLY want them off before i go to england though.

last night went really well. it was tons of fun. i only brought my acoustic which was nice. and today i had jazz band which was pretty killer, but i have a sax solo (i play tenor sax - i think i've already said that) in one of the songs and i have to go up to the mike for it! YIKES! i'm kinda nervous about that one...

ok, well i need to be doing some science homework and then going to my sister's school play.
i also need to finish HP four before i see the movie. i don't want to be behind and see the movie like five days from now. hopefully i can see it this weekend. im so excited! rupert grint (ron weasley) is one of my favourite actors (hes gorgeous you know!). i've loved him since FIFTH grade! ahhh! this is so nice! haha.
alright, talk to you guys around the blogs then.

My weekend...

Hello all!
Sorry I'm never on anymore. Ah! It's hard to update so often!
Let's see...
Friday I went to the Fort Nightly dance thing again. It wasn't that bad I guess, but I still could've done more productive things.
Saturday I had a soccer game and we tied..but the weather was great. Not for playing soccer, but if I was just walking around it would have been. It was very windy and rainy and dark. My favourite. Then I went to my drummer's house to jam. We went to Crossings afterward (the place where we perform) and watched his uncle's band. They were really good, but the lead singer was way too full of himself. He had a good voice but I just couldn't like it because he was too, I don't know, proud of it or something?
Today I went to my church. It's Eliot Chapel. It's a Unitarian church. I'm not even too familiar with this religion, my parents just make me go. It isn't a bad church at all though, very liberal. I think you can believe anything and still go.
Then my friend Ellen came over and we looked at "Rolling With The Stones" by Bill Wyman. There are some amazing pictures in that book. I can't believe I'm seeing them in 20 days! We also practiced our saxophones.
I have a volleyball game soon, too.
Okay, I'm sure that was very boring! But oh well.

Bye everyone! Have good weeks please!

David Chipperfield

I just got back from the St. Louis Art Museum (SLAM for short). I was there listening to an architect by the name of David Chipperfield. He is designing an expansion to the museum. He has done some amazing things, he has. I love architecture. It's one of the things that I'm very interested in. I took notes, he seems like a very intelligent man. I'm glad I had to opportunity to do this. The teacher I have for teaching gifted classes told me she had an extra ticket, and knew I was interested so she asked!
go to www.davidchipperfield.co.uk to learn more about him, yes he is British! oh how i love the accents...can't wait to go to England...and meet STUEE! haha

ok, hope everyone's having nice days.
thanks for all the comments guys, i just love reading them. i really do.

brrr

I just became really cold, like I shivered A LOT for a long time, but I'm not that cold anymore.
Man, "No Rain" by Blind Melon is a wonderful song. I am in love with this one, I am.

About performing:

Sometimes I get nervous before I go on stage. Actually, I used to get nervous every single time I performed in front of anyone in general, but I'm pretty much over all of that now. It's really nice. I get anxious, maybe a little nervous still. When I'm playing though, I sincerely can not make eye-contact with people. I don't know why. Maybe I think it's awkward or it will distract me. I usually just put all my thoughts into the song. Actually that's not true at all...lol I'm lying to myself. I think that I think about other things besides the music along with thinking about what I'm playing and what I'm singing. I'm like triple tasking. It's fun though. I love it when the crowd gets involved you know? When I can get them to sing, or when I played "You Can't Always Get What You Want", and people got their cell phones out and waved them around. It was great. Wow, I'm acting like I've done this tons of times! haha.
Ok, sorry I haven't been on for like a week. I don't know what's up with me.
Cheers..
